EL CAMPELLO
El Campello is a historic resort which offers numerous
shops, bars & restaurants, a beautiful marina and
10 km of golden sandy beaches & traffic free promenade.
Campello certainly isn't a bustling place but it is
a growing town that has a beautiful charm with some
great local shops and a diverse mix of nationalities,
mainly being Spanish, British, German, Scandanavian
and French.
Campello's restaurants are well recommended and expect
to pay anywhere between 10 and 30 euros for a 3-course
meal with drinks. With local fishermen you can also
expect some great seafood dishes to satisfy any tastebud.
Campello beach
is beautiful, clean and golden and depending on the
weather, can be either very calm or great for surfers
with waves reaching 6ft yet it is still safe for non-swimmers
and children accompanied with adults.
A favourite wateringhole is Taberna Belga El Paseo
(situated on the beach front), which has on offer 30
varities of Belgium and Spanish Beers along with numerous
spirit choices and comprehensive lunchtime snack menu,
(ask for Yolanda or Tim, your genial hosts) and eat/drink
Al Fresco in the sun.
