EL CAMPELLO

El Campello is a historic resort which offers numerous shops, bars & restaurants, a beautiful marina and 10 km of golden sandy beaches with a traffic-free promenade. Campello is a beautiful town that is unspoilt by mass tourism and is a little gem in Alicante.

Campello has a beautiful charm with some great local shops and a diverse mix of nationalities, mainly being Spanish, British, German, Scandanavian and French.

Campello's restaurants are well recommended and expect to pay anywhere between 10 and 30 euros for a 3-course meal with drinks. With local fishermen you can also expect some great seafood dishes to satisfy any tastebud.

A good local Tapas bar is Cerveceria Campello which is just off of the main beach front and is a family run bar that is clean and the food is "to die for".

Campello beach is beautiful, clean and golden and depending on the weather, can be either very calm or great for belly-boarding with waves reaching 6ft yet it is still safe for non-swimmers and children accompanied with adults as there are a choice of 4 beach areas to suit your taste.

A favourite watering hole is Cafe Bar Rebecca (situated on the beach front), where you can eat/drink Al Fresco in the sun. Robecca's is run by Rosa and her husband Pedro. You will get a great service and large drink measures when ordering spirits. This is highly recommended.
