The resorts of Catalonia are situated along Costa Dorada. These shores charm with isolated bays and beaches, rocky landscapes and tropical parks. The main resort of Costa Dorada is Tarragona – it’s full of archeological monuments of the Roman period and due to mountains can boast warm and soft climate.

Another coast of Catalonia is Costa Brava beginning from French border. This place has already become a synonym for sea, sun and fun. One of the most popular sights of Costa Brava is aqua park Water World, located not far from Lloret del Mar – the biggest and the most known resort on the coast. It’s not just a resort – it’s an ancient city with a long history and rich traditions.

Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, is one of the brightest and the most festive places for holidays. One of the biggest holydays in Valencia is Saint Jose Day in March. It’s considered to be the best period for visiting the city.

A coast between Valencia and Cartagena is called Costa Blanca. It’s a land of charming medieval cities, national parks and water sport activities. A lot of beaches here are marked with the “blue flags” given by EC for the purity of water and coast. The best beaches are found in Benidorm known for its aqua park and Terra Mitica (entertainment park). One of the most visited resorts of Costa Blanca is Alicante. This town with 300 000 inhabitants was founded by the Romans and a lot of attractions of this time survived till now. Sea reserve Tabarca Island near Alicante host a lot of sea creatures swimming in the clean waters.

A part of Andalusia 7 kilometers from Malaga is called Costa del Sol. It’s a wonderful place where traditions and cultures of the different nations mix and exist in peace. The pearls of Andalusia – Seville, Cordova and Granada are among the most colorful Spanish cities. Marbella is the most famous and prestigious resort not only of Costa del Sol, but also of the whole Spain. It’s characterized by white villas, green palms and blue sea. Marbella boasts the most prestigious and chic hotels and “Gold mile” of the luxury private properties.

The most southern part of Spanish Atlantic coast stretches from Gibraltar to Portugal border. These beaches are framed with pines and dunes. Costa de la Luz is very popular among windsurfers. Cadiz– the capital of Costa de la Luz – is an ancient city built by the Phoenicians. The city lies on the peninsula connected with the shore only by a narrow strip of land. The area is also known for its numerous wines.
